18 DAYS GANDEN SAMYE TREK

This trek starts 50 km North-East of Lhasa and is one of the demanding trek in the area. It is a walk of around 4/5 days and crosses two high pass around 5000 m i.e. Shug-la and Chitu-la. This trek has been considered as the most popular in the U region connecting two of Tibet’s most important monasteries. Best time to undertake this trek is between May to middle of October. Though summer months can be wet but the mountains are at their geenest and wild flower spangle the alpine meadows.

16 DAYS TSRUPHU TO YANGPACHEN TREK

This is also another demanding trek excellent for those who are interested to get a real insight of the lives of Tibet’s semi-nomadic herders. Although they have permanent winter homes they spend much of the year camping with their animals. This trek starts from Tsurpu Monastery at 4,500 m crossing high pass Laser La at 5,300 m to Yangpachen Monastery. Yangpachen is headed by Shamar Rinpoche a leading lama of the Kagyupa order who is based in India. This is another 3/4 days trek and the best time to undertake this trek is between April to mid October.

EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK

This trip is visiting the Highest mountain in the world and winding up with a visit to a holy city of Lhasa. It is a spectacular journey visiting Everest from the other end. The trek to Everest Base Camps has become very popular from both the end i.e. Nepal and Tibet. The trail described in this program is from Shegar (Tibet) and ending at Tingri. The trek features spectacular views of Himalayas from stark desert valleys. The northern flanks of this grand massif are unobstructed by neighbouring peaks or ridges, allowing excellent views of the entire mountain from Rongbuk. You need to be physically fit in order to undertake this trip, the walking starts from around 4400 m and goes up to 5200 m and the temperature even during summer can go real low.

22 DAYS EVEREST APPROACH FROM EAST FACE

Eight days trek from Kharta to Kangshung, the eastern face of the Everest, is one of the most gorgeous in the world. The region has holy lakes, mountains, and the sacred “Kharta Thechu,” the long-life water spring. The trail to the eastern face, Kangshung Valley, goes through forests of fir, cedar, bamboo, and dwarf rhododendron.. We return to Kharta through Kangshung Valley east of a camp below the 17500 ft Langma-la Pass. You have fantastic view of Everest, Lhotse and Maklau.

24 DAYS HOLY MOUNT KAILASH TREK

Kailash 22,028ft which lies in the west of Tibet is one of the most sacred mountains in the world. Over a thousand years, pilgrims have journeyed here to pay homage to the mountain's mystery circumambulating it in an ancient ritual of devotion that continues till todate. For Hindus it is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva one of the Gods of Hindu Trinity and every Hindu longs for a holy dip in Mansarovar Lake which is the seat of legendary Rajhansa and blue lotus. “Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati stayed in this lake in the form of Rajhans in each other’s company for a thousand years’ – mentions Skanda Purana. For Buddhist circumambulance of Kailash one hundred and eight times makes one attain Nirvana - freedom from rebirth. Whereas for Jains it is considered as the mountain sacred as the first Tirthankar Rishavadeva attained Moksha (Salvation) here.

19 DAYS EXPLORE NAMTSO TREK

This trek will take you to 2000 sq km Namtso lake north of Lhasa. Namtso, known as the “Heavenly Lake, “ is the largest saltwater lake in Tibet.Namtso occupies the south-east corner of the Chang Thang, the almost endless northern plains of Tibet. This region is the coldest, most windswept and unpredictable part of Tibet. Blizzards can strike even in the middle of summer. Namtso trek offers you an excellent view of the sparkling water, the varieties of birds and the Nianqingtangla mountains behind. We end this program with a visit to Damshung and Reting Monastery.
