Tibet Mt. Bike tour from Lhasa to Kathmandu though is a non-technical ride but is regarded as one of the most challenging in the world as it involves riding in a high altitude, crossing difficult terrain and tough uphill ride. This tour is ideal for bike riders who are looking for such challenges and wanting to explore the interesting cultural and natural beauty of Tibet. Tibet Mt. Bike tour is very demanding and not meant for the faint hearted as it travels most of the time above 4,000 m. The tour starts with an hour panoramic flight to Lhasa, here we will spent around 4 days exploring the Holy city and as well as getting oneself a proper acclimatization before taking the challenging ride through several high passes to Kathmandu. Tibet Mt. Bike trip will also travel to the base camp of the world highest peak Mt. Everest (8,848 m) from here you can have a fantastic view of North face of Mt. Everest then you will have great time riding in a world’s longest downhill trail. Though the Mt. Bike route is along hard-packed roads but exploring various side valleys such as the route to Everest Base Camp will involve cycling on much rougher dirt and stony tracks.

Tibet Mt. Bike tour can be organized in two different ways either one can opt for a camping style or go for a local Tibetan tea houses. Camping style is a great way of doing it as this way you get the feeling of true expeditions in the wilderness, camping in quiet place a bit away from the village, foods (breakfast, lunch and dinner) prepared by our experience cook will be served, we will have a full support of our crew; sleeping mattress; two men tent; jeep support, truck for the equipment. You just need to paddle your bike and enjoy the wonderful surroundings. Whereas tea house Tibet Mt. biking is also a fun if some prefers to stay in local tea houses and don’t appreciate that much of outdoor stay. Trip will include staying in a simple local Tibetan tea houses on Bed+Breakfast basis; support of guide and support of jeep/truck.

The program and costing given below is based on Camping style. Initially in Lhasa we will have accommodation in medium class hotel and then in some few other places on the way whereas in most of the places it will be on a camping basis. But in case if you opt for Tea House Bike tour do write to us we can send the a different costing – Tea House Bike tour on tea houses will cost bit less. Choice is yours.
