WhiteWater Rafting

Himalayan melt water tumbles thousands of meters as it travels less than 100 km to the plains of southern Nepal and India. The river start out as challenging, rocky torrents, then broaden to become swollen and surging with the waters of hundreds of smaller tributary streams, before eventually calming into mellow maturity broken by only the occasional small rapid.. Nepal is a river runner’s paradise no other country has such a choice of multi-day trips, away from roads, in such magnificent mountain surroundings, with warm rivers, a semi-tropical climate, impressive geography, exotic cultures, wildlife and friendly welcoming people !

Rafting in Nepal is usually a ‘wilderness’’ experience in that most rivers don’t have highways alongside them - but its a soft, tamed, wilderness with white beaches for camping, clean blue rivers and friendly locals.

Mountain Biking in the Himalayas is a pure thrill

Nepal is a paradise for mountain bikers. Big mountains are the main draw with a seemingly endless supply of huge uphills and downhills. Rutted and rocky trails switchback down to the valley bottoms only to snake back up the other side. Houses and farms flash past on the descent then children run alongside as you climb up again past their villages. Temples and stupas appear across the green terraces of rice and other crops. All the major heritage sights are easily accessible in a day’s biking.

Our biking adventures are, like the scenery of Nepal, varied and we offer many different packages, from easy introductory biking trails, to the ultimate challenge of negotiating the age of old trade routes which wind their way along the mountain ranges through the Himalayas.

Rock Climbing

Yes ! Kathmandu provides some really terrific places for people who like crawling up vertical cliffs. If your time is limted an does not permit you to hike up to the mountains, the valley perimeter offers a number of stone walls guaranteed to keep you on your toes.

Canyoning

Canyoning is another adventure challenge which is getting popular in the adventure land of Nepal. Kauli Khola Canyon, near the Tibetan boarder is a perfect site for abseiling the powerful blasts of water and descend down through a series of waterfalls. It gaves you a chance to explore some of the most ruggedly beautiful, yet forbidden places in the world.

Bungy

The only jump available in the himalayas, imagine a bridge over a 160 m tropical gorge with the Bhote Kosi, one of the worlds wildest rivers raging below, why not try it or you will miss it. It gives you a thrill of lifetime.

Mountain Flight

For those who are restricted by time or other considerations from going trekking, one hour Mountain flights offers a panoramic views of the Himalayas. The flight takes you over 17 majestic mountains of which four are over 6000 m in height.

NATURE BASED TOURISM

Trekking and rafting often take you through mountainous areas of great natural beauty but it can be difficult to see or track wildlife. For those who want to make nature the focus of their trip, the reserves and national parks of the Terai region are ideal. Open woodland covers large areas of the parks, but the widely spaced sal trees allow the wildlife to be seen and there are areas of grassland and marsh too. Together these habitats are home to hundreds of species of birds and mammals. The main attractions are the Bengal Tigers and the one horned rhinoceros, but there are also leopards, blue sheep, huge buffalo called gaur and two types of crocodile.

Royal Chitwan National Park :

Terai of Nepal possesses a beauty that’s totally unexpected in a country known mainly for soaring snow-covered mountains. Royal Chitwan National Park is considered to be one of Asia’s finest national parks popular for dense concentration of wildlife and its top class tourist lodges, which provide the opportunity to see animals in their natural environment. The main attractions are the Bengal tigers and the one horned rhinoceros, but there are also leopards, blue sheep, buge buffalo called gaur and two types of crocodile. The most popular way of viewing the animals is taking an elephant ride which has an advantage of getting you more in touch with the natural setting.

Royal Bardia National Park :

Bardia is another good alternative to Chitwan in case if you want to be more in wilderness. But Bardia is way out in far western Nepal so you need to have bit of time and its not easily accessible like Chitwan. You either need to take a long drive by local bus or an hour flight to Nepalgunj and then around 4 hrs drive to the Lodge. Similar to Chitwan but drier and more remote, it encompasses 1,000 square km of riverine grassland and sal forests. Bardia has the country’s second largest tiger population, also you can find blackbuck antelopes, a few wild elephants plenty of birds, and mammals, and some rare gangetic dolphins in the Karnali river on its western border. The park has got more peaceful atmosphere then chitwan due to its relative isolation.

Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve :

For birds lovers Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve can be described as a paradise. Over 350 species of birds including ibises, storks, egrets, herons, swamp partridges and Bengal floricans are found here. Koshi Tappu is easily reached by the East West Highway, which runs along the edge of the reserve. The vegetation here is mainly wetland grassland, scrub and deciduous forests. The reserve is unique for its wild arna buffaloes. Other mammals are the hog deer, wild boar, spotted deer and blue bull. Also the endangered gharial, marsh crocodile and Gangetic dolphin are also recorded in the Koshi river. Exploration is best done on foot or in a small boat so as not to disturb them.
