Poon Hill Trek

05 Days Poon Hill trek which lies in the foothill of Annapurna ranges is an excellent medium class trek especially for those having limited time. This trek offers you with fantastic views of the central Himalayas and provides you an opportunity to explore some of the traditional Gurung villages. The highlight of this trek is climbing up to Poon Hill (3,210 m) early morning for watching the sunrise view over the unobstructed Himalaya. The magnificent panorama stretches from Dhaulagiri I (8,167 m) and Tukuche (6,920 m) to Nilgiri (6,940 m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8,091 m), Hiunchuli (6,441 m) and Tarke Kang (7,193 m). Poon Hill trek starts with a short drive to Naya Pul, then climbs steep up to Ghorepani , from where you can get the fantastic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri and the Annapurnas. The trail then goes through a rhododendron forest to the beautiful village of Ghandrung. This is a second largest Gurung village from here you can have a great view of Annapurna South and Mt. Machhapuchare, we then trek down to Nayapul the next day from where we catch a vehicle back to Pokhara.
