Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Annapurna Base Camp trek trails falls in the heart of the Annapurna region. This is one of the most popular treks in the region due to easy access and superb mountain views. In many ways this is an ideal trek- lovely, short and intense, a direct route into the heart of the Himalaya. The Annapurna Base Camp trek traverses a variety of terrain from lowland villages and rice terraces to glaciers and offers outstanding high mountain views. This is the sacred land of the native Gurung people, the abode of their gods. The trek offers a fine opportunity to surround yourself with Himalayan peaks in a short time, without having to contend with altitude and flight problems of the Everest Region. Annapurna Base Camp is surrounded by peaks like Annapurna, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli.

The Annapurna Base Camp trek can become even more spectacular during spring as the whole forest along the trail turns colorful with red, pink and white rhododendron flowers all over.
