2,000 Tourists Still In Lurch in Solukhumbu

With flights grounded due to bad weather for four consecutive days, about 2000 foreig tourists have remained stuck in Solukhumbu

According to Ngimdorjee Sherpa, a tourism entrepreneur, there are about 1,800 foreigners awaiting the resumption of flights at the Lukla based Tenjing Hillary Airport and Phaplu Airport.

Flights could not resume today as well as there was no improvement in weather and visibility was zero, said Utsavraj Kharel, chief at the Civil Aviation Corporation office in Lukla.
