Glimpses of Bhutan tour begins with a flight to Paro, Bhutan's second largest town set in an exquisite valley beneath the majestic Paro Dzong (fort). If you are flying from Kathmandu then you can have a fantastic view of the mountains (weather permitting). Paro Valley, at an elevation of 2280m is without doubt one of the loveliest in Bhutan. In Paro we will visit Paro (Rinpung) Dzong one of the most beautiful in Bhutan; Ta Dzong (The National Museum) and the famed Tiger's Nest Monastery—Taktsang. Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang) is the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, miraculously perched on the side of a sheer cliff 900 m above the floor of Paro Valley. It takes around 2/3 hrs hike to reach the monastery.

Second part of Glimpses of Bhutan tour will take you to the capital of Bhutan, Thimphu. Here you will visit National Memorial Chorten built in 1974 to honor the memory of the third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck; Tashichodzong - the seat of Government in Bhutan and Simtokha Dzong the oldest Dzong of Bhutan. We conclude this tour with a visit to Druk Yul Dzong built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.
